Fall is a great time for a Western Hoe-Down! Pile up some hay bales, decorate with pumpkins, put on your cowboy hat and have a boot scootin' good time! Y'all come now!

Western Decorating Ideas:
Of course, the perfect place for a western theme party is in a Barn! If you don't have a barn, you can create a western atmosphere!

On the outside: - Decorate with lots of hay bales, pumpkins (if in season) and inflatable cactus. If possible, an old fashioned camp fire or fire pit can set a great western scene and to make s'mores later.
On the inside: - Start with our saloon door curtain and create the look of a wild west saloon!
Balloons randomly tied around a room always makes an inexpensive and festive decoration. Check out all of our Western Scene Setters to set the stage for your western party or square dance.
Western Table Decorations:
1. Use gingham or bandana theme tablecovers and napkins.
2. Place a Mug at each place setting and serve root beer (or other beverages.
3. For a special touch - use different colors of cloth paisley bandana as the napkins, tie up with raffia and pin a toy sherrif's badge to each one. This makes a great party favor as well!
4. Place a serving bowl inside an upside-down cowboy hat to serve chips, etc.
5. Tie a bandana around a basket and use as a serving bowl.
Western Party Activities
1. Square Dance - If the space is availabe and you have someone to call...have a square dance or two-step.

Western Game Ideas
1. Panning for Gold
This is a great game for a child's western party! Hide gold nuggets (gold covered candy) in your child's sand box. Purchase some beach toy sand sifters from your local toy store and have kids "pan for gold".
