Halloween Trick or Treat Safety Tips

Everyone knows that Halloween is one of the most fun nights of the year.
Make sure yours is fun and safe with the following tips for Trick or Treating.

• Never talk to strangers along the way
• Stay on the sidewalks
• Only cross the street at the corners
• Carry a flashlight when walking at night
• Make sure your costume won't cause you to trip and fall
• Follow all traffic safety laws
• Never eat treats until your parents have examined them
• Make sure your mask doesn't block your vision
• Put reflective tape on your costume and treat bag
• Wear light-colored costumes
• Only go to the houses of people you know
• Wear make-up or face paint instead of a mask
• Trick-or-Treat with a group of friends or your family
• Never go inside a stranger's house
• Tell your parents where you are going
• Remember to walk-don't run-to the door
• Always say thank you!
